Renewed for the fall only and moving back to Tuesdays. Great news is it is only listed as a one hour program. They can get rid of all the extra filler.

I agree it should be singles right from the start. With all three trainers taking turns with each "group" only then will the participants learn what works for them. Have you noticed there are no advertisements to try out for the next series?

Way too many commercials & too many product placements. This thing with the kids became very boring very quickly. Three teams is too many, stick with two. WAY TOO MUCH drama at weigh-ins & way too much fat (pun intended) in production. This needs to be 60 minutes.
I too think this is the last hurrah.

After last season many were unwilling to watch it again. I would not be surprised if this will be the begininng of the end.

Ratings are not so good with this edition. I wonder how much longer NBC will stick with this series. It is cheap to produce though.

They really should cut this down to an hour. Too much fluff. I usually FF most of it and watch the weigh in and part of the reward challenges.

Use to love this show now it's boring & predictable. Suffered thru all 2 hours last night. Same old thing. Newbies at first workout pass out, throw up get an earful from Jillian. At weigh in the producers create so much drama with the loud music & cliff hanger leading into a break so they keep you waiting for the person weight.
This show needs to be an hour. One good thing last night is I didn't see any Subway placement or commercials for those terrible sandwiches.

The Biggest Loser will also air on Monday, Jan 7th as part of the 2 night debut. They will have 3 children on the show this year who will work out both at the ranch and at home. They can't be voted off and aren't in it for the money, but to try to get healthy. I believe I read there are 20 adults too.

Yes it does look like it will be on Monday nights. Jillian will be working with kids during the show. I found several links on this page, but this computer will not play videos. You have to scroll down to get to the season 14 links. There was one written article when I clicked on Jillians picture to see more season 14

Being as I am from Michigan, all I hear from the Grand Rapids news is "Jeremy and Conda on to talk about weight loss" Come one folks enough already. They won't keep it off once the hoopla is over.

I agree with you totally Masonco about Jeremy and Conda. Was not happy to see Jeremy and Conda in the final 3. True instigators. I was motivated to exercise more and eat less. If Jeremy at 400 pounds can lose 200 pounds in 8 months surely I can lose 5 pounds a month. I was motivated to move more and eat less watching this show this season....

I wonder if it had anything to do with the boycott? They have to be more careful who they let on, motives and maybe change things so there is a red line every week or no one goes home during the show.
I heard rumblings about the fact Mike who was sent home the first week lost more than most of those in the final episodes.
Plus I wonder if there are legal issues to iron out after Buddy & Mark left.

INTERESTING news about this series.
It WAS renewed, but it will NOT return until 2013 (only one season next time instead of the usual two). I guess this crappy season left a very bad taste in the viewers mouths and they figured the long layoff would help.

I've watched every episode, every season & this was absolutely by far the worst season ever. Except for a couple of contestants the weight loss at the finale was a joke. Some of those women are still way overweight.

Personally I did not see it as motivating but almost entirely game play. I don't remember a season where they lost so little weight as a group. (% wise). Also Jeremy should have been excluded from the finale. I still feel Jeremy & Conda began the uproar in order to guarantee themselves as finalists. Wish Buddy had not fallen for their trick and left.

I knew Jeremy was holding off on his weight loss until the final push. Sure wish it would have backfired completely. Mike would have won then.
They did not let Buddy or Mark come back did they? Do they have to reimburse Biggest loser now?

Yep, the manipulator (or very smart game player) won. I fast forwarded the final three weigh-in. At least his annoying evil sister didn't win.
Kim looked good.

I think Jeremy will win due to his manipulation. He will have this "miraculous" weight loss once he gets home and pounds will rapidly drop. He should have lost a lot more when on the ranch and I think it was game play to guarantee winning. Don't they get that the finale is based on total weight and body fat loss not just what they lost while at home?
Kim does not have that much more to lose, but then again it is based on overall body fat loss so she doesn't have as much to lose in poundage.

I still think that Jeremy plans on winning that spot. He's strong and has quite a bit of weight to lose. So basically he has the best chance of winning the at home finalist. If conda had gone below the red line there was no way she had a chance to win the extra spot.

I really think that Buddy and Mark expected the show to back down and let them have their way.
I think Jeremy did not expect Kim to lose that much weight. He expected that it would have been just him and Conda in the end. I think Jeremy was planning on losing all the weight to win biggest loser. He still might though since he gets to play in the final. He also knew he has a better chance of winning that extra spot than Conda.
Of the two, I don't expect either one to win. I believe it will be one of the ones Conda sent home because she was afraid of competition. Face it, the ones sent home are the ones who really lost weight. Kim does not have much more to lose, Conda will be sidetracked at home. The ones she instigated and sent home have a real reason to beat her.

The contestants that walked off last nights show should NEVER be allowed back and should have forfeited any chance at winning.
Seems like Jeremy intentionally blew his weigh in to help his spoiled brat sister again.
This show is most likely safe for renewal because it is cheap to produce, but if next season has a bunch of idiot, mean spirited contestants like this season then I will be through with the show.
I still fast forwarded most of the hour. Don't like any of the contestants left except for Kim (a little). Glad she won the car.

Conda is a spoiled brat. This show tonight is really sad. After working so hard and so long and walking off the show just isn't right. This show really motivated me to look at my weight. And it got me to stop being a binge eater. I wish the best to the contestants that walked off the show tonight.

Of all the to do a "to be continued". Do you think they cut it down because there was that boycott against bringing people back? (Remember Conda led the revolt to guarantee she will win?)
Have you noticed how they have started bringing favorites that were sent home and giving them jobs at one of their locations or as PR people? I noticed some big winners are never heard from again or return. So I wonder if Conda does win big do you think they will use her for PR? On the other hand, I doubt she will keep the weight off once it is over.

They turned a regular 2 hour show into two weeks worth of 1 hour shows.
For at least the next 2 weeks the episodes are also one hour long. This show should always be one hour long.

I would love to see a complete season where it was individuals from the start with either a yellow line with the two lowest percentage losers facing elimination or a red line with the worst player automatically getting eliminated.
They also need to change the rules to where if you throw a weigh in you go home.

Thank God Daphne is gone. Her brother were clueless & painful to watch & stupid as well. If there was a list of things not to do for a contestant reentering the game after 1 month they would get the award for doing every one of them.
I'm still sick of the way they find product placement for Subway. I know it's one of their biggest sponsors but the way they work it into the show is a total sellout of the trainers. First off their food is not fresh & sucks but beyond that do the trainers actually believe that feeding obese people high sodium lunch meat is healthy?

Conda ruins it for everyone, but then she's only in it for the game. I see her like the guy that gained all his weight back after he won one of the first seasons.
I think Daphene did the right thing. The drama will continue and they won't be able to blame here. Bob will have his say with Conda when he catches her stirring things up. It sure is like a junior high cat fight there. Bob's team will be picked off one by one now
